Exploring the Frameset

The Simcenter STAR-CCM+ Viewer frameset lets you take a "tour" of the scenes, while keeping all of the scene interaction capabilities of Simcenter STAR-CCM+.

  1. Launch Simcenter STAR-CCM+ Viewer using the appropriate instructions for your operating system.
  2. Select File > Open.
  3. In the Open dialog, navigate to the file frameset1.sce and click Open.
    Simcenter STAR-CCM+ Viewer shows you thumbnail previews of the available scenes.
  4. Double-click on the preview of the mesh scene.
  5. Hover with the mouse in the scene display.
    As you do so, the available controls appear.

  6. Use the mouse to move the image in the scene just as you would in Simcenter STAR-CCM+.
  7. To return to the preview, click (Return) in the upper right corner of the scene. From the preview you can access the scalar and streamlines scenes.
    Because the scalar and streamlines scenes include the animations from Simcenter STAR-CCM+, the Simcenter STAR-CCM+ Viewer displays have additional controls.
    • To start the animation, click (Play Inframe Animation).
    • To stop the animation, do one of the following:
      • Click (Stop Inframe Animation).
      • Click (Pause Inframe Animation).
      • Navigate to one of the other scenes.
  8. To close the preview, select File > Close.
