Loading Existing Simulations
For this tutorial, you use existing simulation files that contain objects and solution data.
To obtain the simulation files:
- Follow the instructions in the section, Downloading the Tutorial Files, to get the bundle from the portal, https://support.sw.siemens.com/en-US/product/226870983/downloads.

After extracting the bundle to disk, copy the files
cyclone1.sim and
cycloneModified1.sim from the
viewerfolder of the downloaded tutorial files into the working directory.
To open the simulation files:
- Launch Simcenter STAR-CCM+.
- Select
- In the Load Simulation dialog, click Browse...
- In the Open dialog, navigate to the working directory.
- Select cyclone1.sim then click Open.
- In the Load Simulation dialog, click OK.
- To open cycloneModified1.sim, select and repeat the subsequent steps.
