Installing the Downloaded Package on Windows
The steps that are required to install Simcenter STAR-CCM+ Viewer on Windows 64-bit platforms are:
- Download the appropriate package from the Siemens Digital Industries Software website.
- Navigate to the download directory using an appropriate file explorer and run the .exe file to launch the installer.
- If a User Account Control dialog appears; it can be safely ignored. Click Yes to proceed to the installation.
- The welcome screen of the installer appears.
- Click Next to proceed with the installation. Subsequent pages are presented to ensure that the installation is installed in the correct location, and that appropriate options are provided for launching the tool.
The final screen indicates the end of the Simcenter STAR-CCM+ Viewer installation process.
When the installation is complete, you can launch Simcenter STAR-CCM+ Viewer as described in the section Starting Simcenter STAR-CCM+ Viewer.
