Setting the Inlet and Outlet Boundary Conditions
At the inlet boundary of the tailpipe, you set a mass flow rate of 15 kg/s and a total temperature of 700 K. Reflections of acoustic disturbances emerging from the tailpipe need to be damped only next to the pressure outlet boundary that confines the computational domain. For this boundary, you enable fluctuation damping using a sponge layer.
- Expand the node and set the following properties:
Node Property Value Mass Flow Rate Value 0.15 kg/s Total Temperature Value 700.0 K - Select the Enable Sponge Layer. node and activate
- Save the simulation.
