    - Exporting the FMU Model from Simcenter Amesim
      For this tutorial, you are provided with a complete Simcenter Amesim model. Open the model in Simcenter Amesim and export it as Co-Simulation 2.0 FMU model. In this format, the FMU model only provides the libraries to enable data exchange between Simcenter STAR-CCM+ and Simcenter Amesim, allowing the solvers to communicate through the FMU.
    - Loading the Initial Simulation in Simcenter STAR-CCM+
      You are now ready to load the Simcenter STAR-CCM+ simulation file.
    - Generating the Mesh
      The starting simulation file contains predefined mesh operations, which generates a trimmed cell volume mesh on the pipe with an overset volume mesh on the plate.
    - Selecting the Physics Models
      The initial simulation includes a physics continuum with preselected physics models. These models account for the liquid that flows across the check valve. For FMU co-simulation with Simcenter Amesim, you require an additional physics continuum that represents the FMU model.
    - Importing the FMI Library
      Import the FMI library that you previously created in Simcenter Amesim and set up a link for co-simulation.
    - Specifying the Values Exchanged with the FMU
      During the co-simulation, Simcenter STAR-CCM+ exchanges data with the FMU. As FMU variables are spatially-invariant, Simcenter STAR-CCM+ must export single-value data. To convert space-dependent fields to single-values, you can use reports. You can also use reports to store imported data.

    This tutorial demonstrates how to carry out a mechanical co-simulation case using Simcenter STAR-CCM+ and Abaqus. Co-simulation involves a strong coupling between the two codes. Data is exchanged at frequent intervals that are called coupling steps. This level of communication between the solvers allows you to obtain a full solution across the fluid-solid interface.
  - gPROMS File Export: Spray Dryer
    Simcenter STAR-CCM+ allows for one-way coupling with gPROMS, a process modeling platform for the simulation of complex systems. In Simcenter STAR-CCM+ you reduce three-dimensional solution data to discrete values defined for clusters of cells; data from these clusters can then be exported to a network in gPROMS.
