Field History Reference
Configure the field history using these properties. Some properties, which are read-only, are designed to inform you of the configuration and update status of the field history.
- Parts
- The regions and boundaries for which the field history stores samples of the field function it monitors.
- Enabled
- Controls whether the field history collects samples. Use to stop sampling quickly if needed.
- Sliding Sample Window Size
- Specifies the total number of samples to be stored, including the most recent sample.
- Trigger
- Selects the update policy used to trigger sampling by the field history. See Changing the Trigger Event and Sampling Frequency.
- Sample Count
- Shows how many samples are currently stored (read-only).
- Sampled States
- Shows the simulation states for which samples have been collected (read-only). The meaning of the values for this property depends on the update policy. For an iteration-based update policy, they are the iterations at which samples were collected. For a time-based update policy, they are the times at which samples were collected.
- Field Function
- The field function that is being sampled (read-only). This selection takes place only when you create the field history.
- Title
- The base name of the field functions that are generated automatically by the field history—one field function for each sample. You can use these field functions to post-process the samples taken by the field history.
