Executing the Mesh and Simulation Operations

To generate the mesh and run the simulation, execute the simulation operations.

To view the simulation operations:

Expand the Automation > Simulation Operations > Simulation Operations 1 > Operations node.

When you execute this simulation operations sequence, Simcenter STAR-CCM+ first clears any existing solution then executes the mesh operations. After generating the mesh, Simcenter STAR-CCM+ runs a preliminary RANS simulation, then maps the RANS solution to the LES domain and runs the LES simulation.

Run the simulation by executing the simulation operations.

Click (Play/Resume "Simulation Operations 1") in the solution toolbar.
When the simulation has finished running, save it.

To view the volume mesh:

Open the 05_VolumeMeshDuct scene.
