Enhancing the LES Solution Accuracy and Convergence Rate
High-order temporal discretization schemes give faster unsteady solutions by allowing the use of larger time-steps while also being more accurate than lower-order schemes. Therefore, you use a second-order temporal discretization scheme. Additionally, you reduce gradients limiting, which allows higher gradient variations in the flow field.
- Select the Temporal Discretization to 2nd-order. node and set
- Select the Option to Optimized 2nd-order (5). node and set
To reduce gradients limiting:
- Select the node and set the following properties:
Property Setting Use TVB Gradient Limiting Activated Acceptable Field Variation (Factor) 0.15 - Save the simulation.
