To fully define the user defined method, the corresponding child nodes need
to be defined. These can be found within the node.
The virtual disk defined using the user defined method
provided the following sub-nodes:
- Disk Geometry
- See Virtual
Disk Model Reference
- Disk Resolution
-
- Specify the resolution in the
radial direction, azimuthal direction, and normal direction to fully define
the user defined virtual disk interpolation grid. For more information, see
Disk Resolution.
- Inflow Velocity Plane
-
- Allows you to specify the
offset of the velocity plane used for the user defined method. This plane is
located in front of the propeller and extracts velocity and density from the
flow. The other properties of this plane are set to read only and are
equivalent to the properties defined in the Disk
Geometry or Disk Resolution nodes.
For more information, see Inflow Velocity Plane.
- User Source Term Profile
-
- Specify the Method used to define the volumetric source term profile,
including the dimensions and the coordinate system the source term vector is
defined in.
