Splitting Non-Contiguous Parts

A non-contiguous mesh part (that is, a mesh part that has faces that are not connected to other faces in the part) can be split into its individual component parts if necessary.

If the part contains a baffle, any baffles that remain inside the original part after splitting are preserved. Other contacts and baffles that move into the other split parts are not preserved.

To split non-contiguous parts:

Right-click the part node and select Split Non-Contiguous from the pop-up menu:


The splitting operation proceeds and produces an additional part node for each contiguous component:



The output from a successful split operation is shown below:



Attempting to split a part that is already contiguous has no effect.
