Vizualizing Concentration and Molar Flux Distribution of Oxygen
To compare the mole fraction of oxygen alongside the consumption of oxygen on the cathode triple-phase boundary (TPB), you set up a scalar scene for each quantity.
- Create two scalar scenes and rename them Mole Fraction O2 and Reaction Flux O2.
-
Expand the
node and set the following properties:
Node Property Setting Parts Parts Scalar Field Function Color Bar Orientation Vertical - Right-click the node and select .
-
Edit the
node and set the following properties:
Node Property Setting Surface 1 Surface Activated Color Mode Constant Parts
Parts All boundaries and part curves in the following regions:- air
- currentcollector-anode
- currentcollector-cathode
- tube-anode
- tube-cathode
- Copy the Surface 1 node and paste it in the Reaction Flux O2 node.
The
Boundary Species Electrochemical Reaction Flux of O2 field function is used to display the consumption of oxygen in kmols / area at the cathode TPB.
