Importing the FMI Library

Import the .fmu archive containing the FMI library and associate it to the co-simulation link.

To import the library:
  1. Navigate to the couplingWithCaeCodes folder of the downloaded tutorial files.
  2. Depending on your Operating System, copy one of the following archives to your working directory:
    • PIcontroller_Linux.fmu
    • PIcontroller_Windows.fmu
  3. In the Simcenter STAR-CCM+ simulation, select File > Import > Import User Library...
  4. In the Open dialog, navigate to your working directory, select the .fmu file that you just copied, and click Open.
Simcenter STAR-CCM+ extracts the content of the compressed .fmu file to a new directory and adds a library node under the User Libraries node.
To associate the imported library to the FMU link:
  1. Select the External Links > Link 1 > Conditions > FMI Resource Reference node and set FMI Library to the imported library.
  2. Save the simulation.
