Prescribing the Bucket Motion
You prescribe the motion of the excavator shovel as a translational motion in the X-Y plane superposed with a rotational motion around the X axis. The starting simulation file contains field functions that describe this motion.

where is the time at which scooping starts.
To prescribe the bucket motion:
- Right-click the node and select .
- Rename the Translation node to Bucket Motion.
- Select the Bucket Motion node and set Translation Velocity to [0.0, ${bucketVy}, ${bucketVz}].
- Right-click the node and select .

node and set the following properties:

- Save the simulation.
