Creating Phases and Selecting Phase Models
Create two new phases, specify them as air and particle, and set the appropriate material properties for each phase.
To create the phases and select the phase models:
- In the Physics 1 continuum, right-click the node and create a new phase.
- Rename the Phase 1 node to Air.

For the
Air phase, select the following models:
Group Box
Model
Enabled Models
Laminar (Selected automatically)
Flow (Selected automatically)
Material
Gas
Equation of State
Constant Density
- Click Close.
Create the particle phase.
- Create a second phase and rename it to Particle.

For the
Particle phase, select the following models:

Laminar (Selected automatically)
Flow (Selected automatically)
Material
Particle
Enabled Models
Constant Density (Selected automatically)
Granular Temperature Transport (Selected automatically)
Granular Pressure (Selected automatically)
- Click Close.

Edit the
node and set the following properties:
Node Property Setting Value 1.28 kg/m^3 Value 1.7E-5 Pa-s

Edit the
node and set the following properties:
Node Property Setting Value 2660.0 kg/m^3 Value 5.0E-4 m
- Edit the Maximum Solid Fraction to 0.65. node and set the
- Edit the Value to 0.9. node and set the
- Save the simulation.
