- Restore Hidden Quick
Objects
- Restores all previously hidden Construction Geometries and/or QuickParts.
- Restore
Hidden Quick CAD Faces
- Restores all previously hidden faces of
Construction Geometries and/or QuickParts.
- Hardcopy...
- Allows you to save the visualization display to an image file. For more information, see
Hardcopy Properties.
- New
Annotation
- Creates a new scene annotation and adds it to the
active scene.
- A separate Edit tab opens in which you can set
the properties of the annotation, see Scene
Annotations.
- Add
Annotation
- Allows you to add a previously created scene
annotation to the scene.

Vertex
|
- Set Origin Reference At Vertex
- Sets the local origin of the object that owns the vertex to the location of the selected vertex. The value of the object's
Local Origin is set to
Custom. The components of the
Location Vector are updated to reflect the vertex position.
|
Edge
|
Linear
|
- Set Origin Reference To Center Of Linear Edge
- Sets the local origin of the object that owns the edge to the center of the selected linear edge. The value of the object's
Local Origin is set to
Custom. The components of the
Location Vector are updated to reflect the midpoint position.
|
Curved
|
- Set Origin Reference To Center Of Curve
- Sets the local origin of the object that owns the circular curve to the center of the circle. The value of the object's
Local Origin is set to
Custom. The components of the
Location Vector are updated to reflect the position.
|
Face
|
Planar
|
- Set Origin Reference To Center Of Face
- Sets the local origin of the object that owns the face to the center of the face. The value of the object's
Local Origin is set to
Custom. The components of the
Location Vector are updated to reflect the position.
- Create Face Coordinate System
- Creates a new local coordinate system, where the origin of the coordinate system is centered on the selected face. Local coordinate systems are useful to place Construction Geometry or QuickPart in reference to each other.
- Rename Face Coordinate System
- Allows you to rename a previously created face coordinate system.
- Hide
- Hides the selected face from the visualization display. This action is useful for gaining a clear view of other objects. You can restore hidden objects by right-clicking in the empty background of the visualization display and selecting
Restore Hidden Quick CAD Faces.
|
- Opens the QuickPart
Libraries dialog, which allows you to
import a QuickPart of the selected type from a
previously created QuickPart library.
- You can filter the QuickParts in the library in
order to make selection easier. See Filtering Displayed
Objects.
- New QuickPart > [Type] >
[Geometry]
- Creates a new QuickPart of
the respective type and geometry on the selected
face. For information on the different types and
geometries of QuickParts and their properties, see
QuickParts.
- New Construction Geometry > [Type]
- Creates a new templated Construction Geometry of the respective type on the selected face. For information on the different types of Construction Geometries and their properties, see
Construction Geometries Shape Templates.
Note | The position of the mouse pointer when selecting the face determines the position of the local origin of the new QuickPart or Construction Geometry, respectively.

Curved
|
- Hide
- As for
Planar
Face.
|
Any
|
- Rename
- Allows you to change the name of the respective Construction Geometry or QuickPart under which it is stored in the tree.
- Edit
- Allows you to change the geometrical and physical properties of the respective QuickPart or Construction Geometry.
- Hide
- Hides the respective Construction Geometry or QuickPart from the visualization display. This action is useful for gaining a clear view of other objects. You can restore a specific hidden object by right-clicking on the respective entry in the tree and selecting
Show. To restore all hidden objects click in the empty background of the visualization display and select
Restore Hidden Quick Objects.
- Position...
- Launches the
Positioning Tool that allows you to place the respective Construction Geometry or QuickPart in reference to other objects.
- Paste QuickParts
-
Pastes the copied QuickParts from the clipboard. The QuickParts are pasted at the selected location in the
Graphics window, replacing the selected item.
If you select this action when you right-click the
QuickParts manager node, the QuickParts are pasted in the tree and appear in the
Graphics window at the origin location (0,0,0). In both cases, the relative orientations and distances between the QuickParts are retained as in the original, and you can then move the QuickParts to the appropriate locations.
