Surface Repair Options Dialog Reference

Select the parts and regions to repair using the Surface Repair Options dialog.

Part Source Enables you to bring in input parts based on a Description or Mesh Operation.
Geometry Description/Mesh Operation Specifies the representation to bring into the Surface Repair tool which depends on the method selection for Part Source. If the Mesh Operation option is selected for Part Source, then a list of existing mesh operations is presented instead of description.
Geometry Parts Specifies the parts to bring into the repair tool. Make selections with the Select Objects dialog. If the scene is displaying regions and boundaries, the parts that are associated with the regions/boundaries are automatically added to the Geometry Parts list. Without this functionality, working backwards from a region-based scene to locate the equivalent parts could be difficult and time consuming.
Faces to Show on Start Up Specifies the surfaces to display in the Surface Repair tool when it launches.

Each time you launch Surface Repair, the setting that you choose for Faces To Show on Start Up is saved in the settings.props file. The settings are stored using the variable string RepairFacesToShowOnStartUp. This file is located in the user settings directory, typically [STAR-CCM+ user settings directory]/config/settings.props. To find the complete path to this directory, select Help > About... and look at the User Settings Directory: line in the About STAR-CCM+ dialog.

No Faces Displays no faces at startup. Select faces using the selection controls, or by clicking the categories of errors that are discovered during any diagnostics check. This option is useful for large models where plotting is slow.
All Faces Displays all faces in the model.
Currently Visible Faces Displays only the faces that are shown in the active scene.
