Tagging Surfaces in Surface Repair
You can tag selected surfaces in the Surface Repair Tool. You can manually select surfaces for tagging, or tag the surfaces returned by the search filters.
Adding tags to a discretized surface is useful because it allows you to organise the geometry in preparation for the simulation. Tags that you add in the Surface Repair tool persist once you exit the tool.
To tag surfaces in the Surface Repair Tool:
- Select the faces on the discretized geometry that you want to tag.
You can also tag surfaces that are returned by the search functionality of the Surface Repair tool. See Organizing Discretized Geometry.
- Right-click on one of the selected faces, and choose or .
The selections are tagged. Tags that you create in the Surface Repair session are stored in the simulation object tree and are maintained once you close the Surface Repair session. Tags in the surface repair tool behave in the same way as tags within the simulation object tree. For more information about tags, see Tagging Simulation Data.
