Defining Mesh Operations and Geometric Sensitivity

In this section, you complete the mesh operations with the Geometric Sensitivity mesher by adding predefined geometric parameters into this mesher and generate the volume mesh including extrusions for inlet and outlet boundaries.

To calculate the geometric sensitivities of the geometric parameters used in the 3D-CAD model:
  1. Right-click the Automated Mesh > Meshers node and select Select Meshers.
  2. In the Select Meshers dialog, add Geometric Sensitivity to the Enabled Meshers.
To add the geometric parameters to the Geometric Sensitivity mesher:
  1. Select the Automated Mesh > Default Controls > Geometric Sensitivity node and add the following parameters:

    P1-v1-y

    P1-v2-x

    P1-v3-x

    P2-v1-y

    P2-v2-x

    P2-v3-x

    P3-v1-y

    P3-v2-x

    P3-v3-x

    P4-v1-y

    P4-v2-x

    P4-v3-x

    P5-v1-y

    P5-v2-x

    P5-v3-x

    P6-v1-y

    P6-v2-x

    P6-v3-x

  2. Keep the default values for Relative Step Size and Minimum Step Size.
  3. To generate the volume mesh, right-click the Operations node and select Execute All.
  4. Save the simulation.
