Part-Replacement Using Design Manager

In some industrial situations you are required to run standard flow analyses on different product configurations for regulatory requirements. Through its part-replacement capability, Design Manager can assist with automating these analyses.

Simcenter STAR-CCM+ allows you to use the replace part operation and file global parameter to explore multiple designs of a particular part for a Design Manager study. In this tutorial, you use the replace part capability to run a series of analyses in which the spoiler part is changed each time.

The geometry for this simulation consists of a simplified car and three spoiler designs.

This tutorial uses a simplistic geometry and is not intended to represent a real life scenario.
