Setting Boundary Conditions

The geometry that is used in this tutorial has two no-slip wall boundaries. The inner wall rotates at 1.8 radians per second.

To set the boundary conditions:

  1. Edit the Regions > Couette > Boundaries node and set the following properties:
    Node Property Setting
    InnerWall Type Wall
    Physics Conditions > Tangential Velocity Specification Method Rotation Rate
    Physics Values > Wall Relative Rotation Method Constant
    Value 1.8 radian/s
    OuterWall Type Wall
As the normal relative viscosity is equivalent to an isotropic particle pressure, you set the Anisotropic Suspension Pressure method for the fluid region to Isotropic Tensor. This is the default setting.
  1. Select the Regions > Couette > Physics Values node and set the following property:

  2. Save the simulation.
