Spray Combustion: n-Dodecane

In this tutorial, you simulate spray combustion using the Steady Laminar Flamelet (SLF) model with the Soot Method of Moments model.

The fuel, n-dodecane, is injected into the combustor in the form of droplets that then evaporate into combustible vapor. You use the SLF model with a 31-species skeletal mechanism for n-dodecane [985],[986], as the SLF model is most appropriate for simulating diffusion flames. The Soot Method of Moments model is used to capture the soot emissions that are created within the combustor.

The chemical components and properties of the reaction are defined within a flamelet table.
