Preparing Post-Processing Objects

Create scalar and vector scenes to monitor the Lorentz force, the magnetic flux density, and the velocity of the fluid during the simulation run.

  1. Expand the Scenes node.
To visualize the Lorentz force in a scene:
  1. Create a vector scene named Lorentz Force.
  2. Edit the Lorentz Force node and set the following properties:
    Node Property Setting
Outline 1 > Parts Parts Coils and Ladle (deselect Void)
    Vector 1
Parts Parts Coils and Ladle (deselect Void)
Vector Field Function Lorentz Force Density
To visualize the axial component of the Lorentz force:
  1. Create a scalar scene named Lorentz Force [i].
  2. Edit the Lorentz Force [i] node and set the following properties:
    Node Property Setting
    Outline 1 Outline Deactivated
    Scalar 1 Display Mesh Activated
Parts Parts Coils and Ladle (deselect Void)
Scalar Field Function Lorentz Force Density > Laboratory > i
To visualize the magnetic flux density in a scene:
  1. Create a vector scene named Magnetic Flux Density.
  2. Select the Magnetic Flux Density > Vector 1 > Vector Field node and set Function to Magnetic Flux Density > Magnetic Flux Density Real.
To visualize the velocity imparted to the fluid in a scene:
  1. Create a vector scene named Fluid Velocity.
  2. Edit the Fluid Velocity node and set the following properties:
    Node Property Setting
Outline 1 > Parts Parts Coils and Ladle (deselect Void)
Vector 1 Display Mode Line Integral Convolution
Parts Parts Coils and Ladle (deselect Void)
  3. Save the simulation.
