      To improve stability, increase the under-relaxation factor for the magnetic potential solver, then run the simulation.

Loading the Initial Simulation

For this tutorial, you are provided with a starting simulation that includes an axisymmetric mesh representing the coils, the ladle, and the vacuum chamber.

To launch the initial simulation:

Launch Simcenter STAR-CCM+ in double-precision.
Select File > Load...
In the Load a File dialog, click Browse...
In the Open dialog, navigate to the electromagnetism folder of the downloaded tutorial files.
Select the file electromagneticStirring_start.sim and click Open.
In the Load a File dialog, click OK.
Save the simulation to your working directory as electromagneticStirring.sim.

To visualize the predefined axisymmetric mesh:

Expand the Scenes node and open Mesh Scene 1.

The starting simulation file already includes the required regions and interfaces. To define rotational symmetry about the x axis, the regions contain boundaries of type Axis.
