Defining Post Processing Objects

Before activating the simulation sequence, you create a geometry scene to compare the improved wing lower element shape with the original shape. You also include an annotation with the down force plot.

To create the down force plot annotation:
  1. Right-click the Plots > Downforce Monitor Plot node and select Create Plot Image Annotation.
A Plot Image 1 is added to the Tools > Annotations node.
To create the comparison scene:
  1. Right-click the Scenes node and select New > Geometry.
  2. Select the scene node and name it Geometry Comparison.
  3. For the two displayers in Geometry Comparison, set the properties as follows:
Property Outline 1 (Original Shape) Surface 1 (Optimized Shape)
Parts Expand the Parts > Fluid Domain > Surfaces node and select Wing End Plate, Wing Lower Element, and Wing Upper Element. Expand the Regions > Fluid Domain > Boundaries node and select Wing End Plate, Wing Lower Element, and Wing Upper Element.

    Color Green Red
    Representation Geometry Volume Mesh
  4. Open the Geometry Comparison scene.
  5. Select the Tools > Annotations > Plot Image 1 node and drag the annotation to the the opened Geometry Comparison scene.

The created scene is shown as follows:
