Component Mapping Model Reference

For phase interactions between multi-component phases, every component in the fluid film continuum must be mapped to its corresponding component in the Lagrangian, Eulerian, or VOF phase.

Requires

A Multiphase simulation with the Fluid Film model activated. A Phase Interaction with both the fluid film phase and the interacting phase being multi-component phases. A phase interaction model, such as Impingement, Wave Stripping, or Resolved Fluid Film, activated in the Phase Interaction.

Connectivity

Matches the fluid film components to their corresponding Lagrangian, VOF, or Eulerian dispersed phase components.

The following conditions apply:

  • A complete mixture mapping is required. Every component in the fluid film must be mapped to the corresponding component in the liquid Lagrangian, VOF, or Eulerian phase.
  • Both the fluid film and Lagrangian, VOF, or Eulerian phases must consist of the same material components. However, the ratios of the components can be different.
