The Large Eddy Simulation (LES) model is used to directly resolve the large scales of the turbulence, and model the small scale motions, in the flow domain.

    Thermo-acoustic instability, that is, large-amplitude pressure oscillations, can be encountered in many devices such as gas turbines, rocket engines, or combustors.
