Setting the Electromotive Force Density
The Electromotive Force Density is a user-specified contribution to the electric field within a specified region.
Transient electromagnetic effects such as magnetic induction produce a contribution to the electric field, and hence contribute to the electric current density. The electromotive force density ( in Eqn. (4277)) is specified as the Electromotive Force Source vector profile within a region.
To define the Electromotive Force Source within a region:
- Select the Electromotive Force Source Option node within the Physics Conditions folder for the region.
-
In the
Properties window, activate
Electromotive Force User Source Option.
The corresponding node, Electromotive Force Source, is added to the Physics Values folder for the region.
-
Set the appropriate physics value.
The Electromotive Force Source is specified as a vector profile.
When using per-part values, you can use a similar procedure to override region values on specific boundaries. See Boundary Settings: Electromotive Force Source.
