Splitting Non Contiguous Regions
Non-contiguous region splitting creates regions when the original region contains surface or volume meshes that are spatially separated.
The following diagram illustrates non-contiguous region splitting:

The following list defines contiguous regions:
- For surface meshes, each face shares an edge with another face in the region.
- For volume meshes, each cell shares a face with another cell in the region.
To split non-contiguous regions:
- Right-click a region and select
.
-
In the Split Non-Contiguous Regions dialog, set the region splitting options.
To change the selected regions, click the Select button.
- Click
Apply to split regions.
If you attempt to split contiguous regions, the Output window displays a warning.
