Surrogate FMU: Flapper Valve Representation within Simcenter Amesim
When a 1D fluid system simulation contains a complex hydraulic component, an FMU built from a surrogate model can represent the influence of the component without requiring a full 1D/3D co-simulation. Design Manager provides a facility for exporting such FMUs based on a surrogate model.
Running the 1D Simulation
After embedding the FMU model, you run the Amesim simulation with pre-defined parameters.

Running the 1D Simulation

After embedding the FMU model, you run the Amesim simulation with pre-defined parameters.

In the 1D dual pump transmission system, the following inputs are specified for the mechanical oil pump (MOP) and electrical auxiliary oil pump (EAOP):

Rotational speed of the EAOP motor (rpm)
Binary signal of EAOP (0 - off; 1- on)
Rotational speed of the MOP motor (rpm)

The downstream transmission of the oil pump is simplified to a hydraulic tank with a constant pressure of 15bar. A check valve is located in front of each pump, which is closed rapidly when the pump is not switched on.

Switch mode from SKETCH to SIMULATION:

In the mode toolbar, click SIMULATION.
1. To check the run parameters, select the Run Parameters node.
  The Final time of the run is set to 100s with a Print interval (time step) of 0.01s.
2. To run the simulation, select Run simulation.
When the simulation ends, save the simulation.
