Defining the Rheological Data Types for Non-Linear Viscoelastic Parameter Fitting

The following section calibrates the non-linear parameters using time-uniaxial elongational viscosity data. For this purpose, change the data type to elongational viscosity as a function of time, measured at a constant elongation rate of ϵ ˙ = 1000 /s. (For transient data, a non-zero rate must be entered, whereas the default is 0.) Only this curve is used to fit the non-linear model parameters.

To define the rheological data type:

  1. Right-click the Material Calibration > Inputs node and select Add Input Table.
  2. Rename the new input table as ElongationalViscosity Table.
  3. Select the Inputs > ElongationalViscosity Table node and set the following properties:
    Property Value
    Data Table elongationalViscosity_time
Input Type Time - UniAxial Elongational Viscosity
  4. Select the ElongationalViscosity Table > Rate Specification node and set Rate to 1000 /s.
  5. Select the Inputs > GpGpp Table node and deactivate Active.
