- Acoustic CFL in Wave Equation
- The Acoustic CFL ( , where is the speed of sound) is computed in the whole domain, based on the mesh size and time step.
- Acoustic Pressure

- Acoustic Sources
- The acoustic perturbation-based source term that is generated in the Acoustic Wave equation.
The following field functions are made available when Evaluate APE Fields For Post FW-H is activated:
- Acoustic Density
- in Eqn. (4723).
- Acoustic Velocity
- in Eqn. (4724).
- APE Total Density
- The far-field value in Eqn. (4725).
- APE Total Pressure
- The far-field value in Eqn. (4726).
- APE Total Velocity
- The far-field value in Eqn. (4726).
Functions for Temporary Storage
When the Acoustic Wave Solver has the Temporary Storage Retained property activated, the following field functions are made available to the simulation.
- Acoustic Pressure Gradient
- Acoustic Pressure Recon
- The computed gradient fields using Simcenter STAR-CCM+ gradient options.
- Acoustic Pressure Residual
- The residual on the current solution for acoustic pressure in Eqn. (4713).
- Acoustic Pressure Second Time Derivative
- Acoustic Pressure Time Derivative
- The fields that are used for the Newmark solver.
- APE Pressure
- The fluctuating flow pressure field.
- Mean Flow Pressure
- The mean flow pressure that is obtained from the flow reference.
- Mean Flow Velocity
- The mean flow velocity that is obtained from the flow reference.
