Filling Open Loop Holes

The open-loop hole filler fills holes that are defined by discontinuous loops of edges.

Note When filling open loops, the tool checks for closed loops in the selection and cancels the command when it finds one.
To fill an open-loop hole:
  1. In the Graphics window, select the edges that define the open and closed loops.

  2. Click the three dots next to the (Fill holes) tools to display the fill hole options.
  3. In the Fill Holes Options group box:
    1. Set Fill Mode to Open loop(s) only.
    2. Decide whether you want the fill area to maintain local curvature. See Maintaining Local Curvature.
    3. Set the Open Loop Closure Options mode. See Open Loop Closure Options.
    4. Set the Loop Interaction Options mode. See Loop Interaction Options.

  4. To fill the hole(s), click (Fill holes).
