Preparing the Scene for Visualization

Add two displayers to the default scene: one to display the velocity magnitude on a plane cutting through the tower case, and another to display the temperature on the graphics card.

Begin with creating the plane section:
  1. Right-click the Scenes > Drawables node and select New > Section.
  2. Within the Edit dialog, in the Plane Parameters group box, set the Origin vector to [0.0, 0.0, 0.035] m.
  3. Click OK.
Create a displayer that shows the velocity magnitude on the plane section:
  1. Right-click the Scenes > Electronics Cooling 1 node and select New Displayer.
  2. In the in-place dialog for the displayer, set the following properties:
    Property Setting
    Name Air Velocity
    Drawable Items Section
    Displayer Mode Scalar
Field Function Velocity > Lab Reference Frame > Magnitude
    Contour Style Smooth Filled
  3. Click OK.
Create a second displayer that shows the temperature on the graphics card:
  1. Create a new displayer and set the following properties:
    Property Setting
    Name Graphics Card Temperature
    Drawable Items Graphics Card
    Displayer Mode Scalar
    Field Function Temperature
    Color Map cool-warm
    Contour Style Smooth Filled
To have a better view of the graphics card temperature, hide the mesh:
  1. Right-click the Scenes > Electronics Cooling 1 > Mesh node and select Toggle Visibility.
  2. Save the simulation .
