Defining the Phase Interaction
Using the Multiphase Interaction model, you can define the interaction between the gas and liquid phases.
To model cavitation, use the VOF Multiphase Interaction model and the Schnerr-Sauer cavitation model.
When you create a phase interaction, you select the primary phase first, and then the secondary phase. In this simulation, the primary phase is H2O and the secondary phase is H2O (G).
To define the phase interaction:
- In the Injector continuum, right-click the node and select .
-
For the Phase Interaction 1 phase interaction, select

Define the appropriate parameters for the Schnerr-Sauer cavitation model.
The saturation pressure is set on the relevant material property node for the liquid
phase.
- Select the 2338.0 Pa. node and set Value to
- Save the simulation.
