Impingement Model Reference

The Impingement model is used to model the impingement of a Lagrangian phase or a dispersed DMP phase on to an interface to form a fluid film.

Requires

For a Lagrangian Multiphase simulation, a Film-Lagrangian Phase Interaction must be defined.

For a Dispersed Multiphase simulation, a Film-Dispersed Phase Interaction must be defined.

The Time model can be Implicit Unsteady, PISO Unsteady, or Steady.

Activates Boundary Inputs

For a Lagrangian Multiphase simulation:

  • In the Lagrangian phase, Boundary Conditions > Fluid-Film Boundary > Physics Conditions > Mode.

  • For each boundary, Physics Conditions > Lagrangian Specification.
