Creating a Shell Region from Region Boundaries
You can create Shell regions from existing region boundaries.

Right-click the region boundary from which you wish to
create a shell region and choose Create Shell
Region from the pop-up menu.
Several objects are added to the simulation as a result of this operation:
- A single shell region is created when multi-selecting the contiguous boundaries belonging to a single region (as is shown in the preceding example). If the selected boundaries belong to different regions, several shell regions are created. These shell regions must be connected with interfaces.
- Interfaces between the surface of the shell region and the boundaries from which it was created.
- The corresponding interface boundaries in both the source region and the shell region.
These objects are shown in the example below:

In the example that was used above, the following shell region was created.

- After you have created the shell region, set its Continuum property to point to a fluid phase or a physics continuum.
