View Snapshots Reference
The following options, operations, and actions are available in either the quick access menu or the Manage View Snapshot dialog.
Quick Access Menu Option
The following options are available when the split button is selected.

- Store Snapshot
- Allows you to store the current geometry and view information as a snapshot. For individual based snapshots a list of the current displayed faces is stored. For patch based snapshots a list of patches is stored instead. If a partial set of faces for a patch is displayed, Simcenter STAR-CCM+ will restore the entire patch information however, the thumbnail only shows a partial selection. When you select the Store Snapshot option you can name the snapshot in the Enter View Snapshot Name dialog.
- Restore Snapshot
- Enables any stored snapshots to be restored upon selection of it in the Restore Snapshot option.

- Convert All
- Converts all individual based snapshots to patch based snapshots. This allows you to store the geometry and viewing setting for future use in a Surface Repair session and save the geometry and viewing settings to the simulation file. For each individual snapshot the patch id's are stored instead of the face id's when this operation is selected. The snapshot conversion is a one way process and cannot be undone.
