Importing and Replacing Sketch Curves
You can combine tabular and user-created sketches by importing a curve into an existing 2D or 3D sketch. You can also replace a specific spline within a sketch with a new spline from a .csv file to enable tabular-based design changes.
To import and replace sketch curves:
-
Choose where to import the sketch curves, or which spline to replace:
- To import sketch curves into an existing sketch, right-click the target sketch in the 3D-CAD feature tree and select
Import Curves.
- To replace an existing spline within a sketch, while in sketch mode, right-click the target spline and select
Replace Sketch Primitive.
- To import sketch curves into an existing sketch, right-click the target sketch in the 3D-CAD feature tree and select
Import Curves.
- In the Open dialog, select the .csv file that contains the curve data and click OK.
-
In the
Import Curves to Sketch dialog, set the import options and click
OK.
You can import the curve as a spline or a polyline. You can also choose to close the curve if it is open. See Curve Import Options.
