File Table Properties

Extracted A read-only list of the names of the scalar field in the file. This property is blank if a new tabular data set has been created but no scalars have yet been selected.
File Path The path to the table file from which this table object gets its data. This path is relative to the location of the simulation file.

Internal XYZ Table Properties

Extracted A read-only list of the names of the scalar field in the file. This property is blank if a new tabular data set has been created but no scalars have yet been selected.
Scalars The property customizer activates a list box functionally similar to the Select Objects dialog, with which you can select scalars.
Parts Editing the property activates the Select Objects dialog for parts.
Coordinate System Specifies the coordinate system (laboratory by default). The drop-down list of this property includes any local coordinate systems that exist in the simulation (xyz internal table only).
Data on Vertices Controls whether to extract field data to cell centers or vertices. Depending on what field data you are using, use the appropriate option to facilitate direct mapping rather than interpolation or extrapolation.
Activated Extracts data at vertices.

Fields associated with vertex coordinates will be mapped without interpolation and fields associated with cell centers will be interpolated (or extrapolated) to the vertex coordinates.

Deactivated Extracts data at cell centers.

Fields associated with cell centers will be mapped without interpolation and fields associated with vertex coordinates will be interpolated (or extrapolated) to the cell centers.

Representation Selects a representation from among the available ones in the simulation.

Radial Internal Table Properties

Number of Bins Number of radial stations.
Parts Editing the property activates the Select Objects dialog for parts.
Scalars The property customizer activates a list box functionally similar to the Select Objects dialog, with which you can select scalars.
Extracted A read-only list of the names of the scalar field in the file. This property is blank if a new tabular data set has been created but no scalars have yet been selected.

Soot Sectional Particle Size Distribution Table - Boundaries / Regions Properties

Extracted A read-only list of the names of the scalar field in the file. This property is blank if a new tabular data set has been created but no scalars have yet been selected.
Parts Editing the property activates the Select Objects dialog for parts.
Representation Selects a representation from among the available ones in the simulation.

Histogram Table Properties

Parts Parts from which the table data is extracted.
Extracted A read-only list of the names of the data sets extracted for the table.
Representation Selects a representation from among the available ones in the simulation.

The properties of the Histogram Table > Histogram Base node, and its sub-nodes (some of which are optional) control the definition of the histogram table:

Table 1. Histogram Base
Bins Number of discrete intervals in the histogram.

Selects the scalar field function to split into separate intervals (or bins), using the Histogram Base > Bin node.

Smooth Values When activated, instructs Simcenter STAR-CCM+ to use node values to populate the histogram, instead of cell values.
Generate Profile When activated, Simcenter STAR-CCM+ evaluates a specified field function, for each set of points that is allocated to a bin, and returns the maximum and minimum values of the function.

Specify the field function and its units using the Histogram Base > Profile node.

Weighting Simcenter STAR-CCM+ weights the count of each point that is allocated to a bin by the amount that is selected here.
Frequency Equivalent to a weighting of one. The sum for each bin is the frequency with which points fall into the bin.
Specified Scalar Allows you to specify the field function that is used to weight each data point allocated to a bin.

Specify the field function and its units using the Histogram Base > Weighting node.

Specified Scalar with Accumulation Same as Specified Scalar, but with the additional property that values for successive bins are summed cumulatively along the bin direction.

Specify the field function and its units using the Histogram Base > Weighting node.

Range Mode Specifies how to find the maximum and minimum range of bin values.
Auto Simcenter STAR-CCM+ automatically calculates the maximum and minimum range of values for the bin field function, and sets the range from this calculation.
Manual Allows you to manually specify the minimum and maximum values of the binning quantity.

Specify the field function and its units using the Histogram Base > Range node.

Accumulated Force Table Properties

Parts Editing the property activates the Select Objects dialog for parts.
Extracted A read-only list of the names of the data sets extracted for the table.

Use the properties of the Accumulated Force Table > Force Histogram node to set the parameters that are required for building the histogram of forces and accumulated force across the chosen parts. The forces that are extracted are the same as the forces given for the Force. When force normalization is activated, the force coefficients, and accumulated force coefficients, are returned.

Table 2. Force Histogram
Bins Number of discrete intervals (or bands) across the parts.
Coordinate System Coordinate system in which the bin, force, and profile directions are defined. The drop-down list of this property includes any local coordinate systems that exist in the simulation. The default is laboratory.

This property does not control the Position values given in the displayed table. The Position values given in the table are always for the centroids of the bins, which are given in the laboratory coordinate system along the specified bin direction.

Bin Direction Direction in which the intervals (or bands) are distributed.
Force Direction Direction in which the force is computed
Profile Direction Direction to use in extracting the profile from the parts.
Force Option Choose which force components are included in the reported data.
Pressure Only the force due to pressure, f f pressure is considered. See Eqn. (422) for the Force report.
Shear Only the force due to shear, f f shear in Eqn. (422) is considered.
Pressure and Shear Both pressure and shear forces, f f pressure and f f shear in Eqn. (422) is considered.
Normalization Mode When activated, instructs Simcenter STAR-CCM+ to normalize the force as a force coefficient. See Eqn. (429).

Use the Force Histogram > Force Normalization node to specify the reference density, velocity, and area that are used to calculate the force coefficients (see Eqn. (429), Eqn. (429), and Eqn. (429)).

Range Maximum and minimum band values (read only).
Reference Pressure The reference pressure for the computation of Eqn. (423).
Range Mode Sets how band positions are calculated.
Auto Use this option if you want Simcenter STAR-CCM+ to calculate the start and end positions of the bands.
Manual

Use this option if you want to specify where the first band begins and the last band ends.

NoteWhen you specify limits manually, any data outside those limits is ignored.
Spacing The width of the bands across the selected parts (read only)

[Table] Update Properties

Trigger Determines how the table is updated. Select the desired trigger type from the drop-down list. See Trigger Types.
Auto Extract When activated, controls automatic extraction.
Save to File When activated, exports automatically.
Output Directory Path to where the files specified in the Base Filename Append Tag property are saved.
Base Filename Append Tag The prefix of the file name to use when saving tables to file.
