Advanced Surface Freeform: Unmanned Aerial Vehicle
To achieve the desired performance for a particular application, engineers often make adjustments to small areas of the geometry, or to the entire design. In 3D-CAD, you can make these small alterations using the surface freeform operation, without exporting and reimporting the geometry into Simcenter STAR-CCM+.
In this simulation,
you execute surface freeform operations on an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)
model. The UAV consists of a v-tail stabilizer and push prop configuration
with a main wingspan of 20 m all of which aims to provide the UAV with
sufficient lift and stability for its operation.

To produce the final geometry, you modify the wings, stabilizers, nose, and propeller.
