Post FW-H Solver Reference

The following specific properties and right-click actions are available for the Post FW-H solver.

The Post FW-H solver has two tasks:

  1. Before the simulation starts, defines the method for collecting source data in a .simh file.

The solver collects source data for permeable and impermeable Post FW-H surfaces on a specified schedule.

  2. After the simulation is complete, computes the sound pressure at the specified locations of the Post FW-H receivers for selected imported Post FW-H surfaces.

Post FW-H Solver Properties

Start Time Step
The time-step at which source data from the FW-H surfaces are written to the .simh file for the first time. The value can range from 0 up.
Collection Frequency
The number of time-steps between the source data export events. The value can range from 1 up.
Base Name
The base .simh file name. The default is the name of the .sim file.
Export Directory
The directory for exported .simh files. The default is the directory of the .sim file.

Post FW-H Solver Right-Click Actions

Execute Solver
After the simulation is complete, computes the sound pressure at the locations of the selected point receivers, for the selected imported surfaces. The solver can compute the sound pressure at multiple point receivers and for multiple imported FW-H surfaces. The sound pressure data is saved on each point receiver.
Running the solver entails resetting the transient display time.
Clicking the solver stop button next to the progress bar stops the solver immediately, without completing the far-field computation for the remaining time-steps in the .simh file. The solver stops and saves the partial solution on the point receivers.
