Equilibrium Coefficient Properties
Sets the equilibrium coefficient for a mass transfer phase interaction.
The Equilibrium Coefficient node lets you specify the appropriate equilibrium coefficient:
- For gas-liquid interactions, the ratio of gas to liquid mole fractions, which is Eqn. (2159).
- For multicomponent interactions where you map the pairs of species involved, you specify the equilibrium coefficient for each species pair.
- For liquid-liquid interactions, the ratio of continuous to dispersed mole fractions, which is Eqn. (2162).
Equilibrium Coefficient Properties
- Dimensions
- The dimensionality of the Equilibrium Coefficient (read-only).
- Method
- Read-only manager for the equilibrium coefficients that are activated for each component transfer. The only option is
Composite.
The Composite node does not have properties.
Equilibrium Coefficient for Individual Component Transfer Properties

- Method
- Selects the method:
- Henry’s Law
Set a value for the Henry’s Law coefficient, Eqn. (2161).
- Raoult’s Law
A Saturation Pressure node is added to the liquid phase. This node can be used as an input to Eqn. (2160).
For liquid-liquid interactions, the equilibrium coefficient specification is limited to Constant or Field Function.
