Nucleation Model Family Reference
Nucleation is the creation of new particles from the continuous phase. Simcenter STAR-CCM+ models nucleation as a combination of a population balance nucleation model and a mass transfer nucleation model.

Nucleation Model Controls
The following child nodes are available:
- Nucleation Rate
- This value is in Eqn. (2406).
- Nucleation Rate Concentration Derivative
- The derivative of the nucleation rate with respect to the concentration of the solute. Simcenter STAR-CCM+ uses this value for linearization purposes.
- Nucleation Rate Temperature Derivative
- The derivative of the nucleation rate with respect to the temperature of the solute. Simcenter STAR-CCM+ uses this value for linearization purposes.
- Nucleus Diameter
- This value is in Eqn. (2406).
