Custom Control Properties
The Turbomachinery Mesh operation allows you to define custom part controls on the blade to alter the mesh for specific parts of the geometry.

Part Control Properties
- Parts
- Specifies the parts to which the custom mesh controls apply.
- Enable Control
- Allows you to activate or deactivate the control without having to delete or recreate it.
- Control Display Mode
- Allows you to specify
which parts are displayed within the mesh scene. There are two options
for this:
- All—displays all parts, part curves, or part surfaces under the Parts node.
- Customized—displays only the parts, part curves, or part surfaces to which the mesh control applies.
Blade Parameters
- Blade Parameters
- Specifies whether the Turbomachinery Mesher uses the default settings (Parent) or alternative settings (Custom) for the blade parameters.
- Customize Near Wall Thickness
- When activated, allows you to specify a custom absolute size for the thickness of the first layer of cells along the blade surface. This is achieved by specifying the Near Wall Thickness under the node.
- Customize Number of Intervals
- When activated, allows you to specify a custom number of divisions along the blade profile. This is achieved by specifying the Number of Intervals under the node.
- Customize Blade Tip Surface
- When activated, allows you to specify a different type of mesh on the part blade tip surface. This is achieved by specifying the Blade Tip Mesh under the node.
Spanwise Settings
- Spanwise settings
- Specifies whether the Turbomachinery Mesher uses the default settings (Parent) or alternative settings (Custom) for the spanwise settings.
- Customize Number of Intervals from Hub to Shroud
- When activated, allows you to specify a custom number of divisions between the hub and the shroud. This is achieved by specifying the Number of Intervals from Hub to Shroud under the node.
- Customize Hub Near Wall Thickness
- When activated, allows you to specify a custom absolute value for the thickness of the first layer of cells at the hub surface. This is achieved by specifying the Hub Near Wall Thickness under the node.
- Customize Shroud Near Wall Thickness
- When activated, allows you to specify a custom absolute value for the thickness of the first layer of cells at the shroud surface. This is achieved by specifying the Shroud Near Wall Thickness under the node.
Pitchwise Settings
- Pitchwise settings
- Specifies whether the Turbomachinery Mesher uses the default settings (Parent) or alternative settings (Custom) for the pitchwise settings.
- Distribution Method
- Allows you to specify the
custom method for defining how the mesh cells are distributed in the
pitchwise direction. The avaliable options are:
- Number of Intervals—specifies the custom number of divisions in the pitchwise direction
- Growth Rate—specifies the custom ratio between the thicknesses of consecutive cell layers in the pitchwise direction near the blade.
- Number of Intervals
- Allows you to specify the custom number of divisions in the pitchwise direction.
- Growth Rate
- Allows you to specify the custom ratio between the thicknesses of consecutive cell layers in the pitchwise direction near the blade.
