Slicing Bodies Reference

Target Bodies	Specifies the bodies to slice.
Cutting Tools	Defines the tools to use for slicing the selected bodies. Multiple tools can be used simultaneously in the same operation.
Sketch Plane	Slices the body using an existing sketch plane.
Face	Slices using the selected faces.
Sheet Body	Slices the body using the select sheet bodies.
Keep Side	Specifies which side of the slice is kept after performing the slice operation. This option is not available if you select multiple faces, sheet bodies, or planes.
Both Sides	Retains both sides of the slicing tool. The body is split into two or more separate bodies.
Front Side	Retains all the bodies on the front side of the slicing tool.
Back Side	Retains all the bodies on the back side of the slicing tool.
Extend Cutting Tool to Intersect Target	Allows you to extend any planar, cylindrical, or ruled face to intersect the target body. If any other type of face is used as a tool, the corresponding geometric surface is used to slice the target bodies. If you select two tool faces, these faces are extended similarly if they do not share an edge. If you select more tool faces, these faces are extended similarly if any two faces do not share an edge. When two faces share an edge these two faces are not extended.
