Displaying Neighboring Parts
You can choose to display or hide neighboring parts in the scene once part pairs are found.
Neighbor parts are parts that are in close proximity (based on the supplied Tolerance input), to both the source and destination parts. If a part is only in proximity to either the source or destination, it is not displayed.
By default, the
Show Neighbor Parts option is activated. This option is useful for judging the order to perform imprints due to the proximity of neighboring parts. For example, you can avoid performing imprints between parts that intersect others in-between them.

Deactivating this option hides the neighbor parts and only shows the destination and source parts.

The neighbor part display uses non-interactive elements to represent the neighbor display. These elements remain in the scene unless you deactivate the option, you click Stop in the Part Browser group box, or you exit the Imprint panel.
Note the following considerations when displaying or hiding neighbor parts:
- The neighbor parts are display-only and you cannot select or interact with them. Any selections that you make using the cursor passes through to any selectable parts underneath.
- If you use the Show All Faces tool to display all active repair parts while also showing neighbor parts, then the real and display parts are superimposed on each other. Similarly, Hide All Faces has no effect on the neighbor part display.
- You can toggle the mesh display for the neighbor parts on and off using the Show All Meshes toolbar toggle button. The default is for the mesh to be off.
- The Color Displayed Faces by option has no effect on the neighbor part display. Neighbor parts are displayed in all modes as long as the imprint panel is open and a valid current part pair is selected.
- If you use the
(Remove this source and destination pair browser) option, then the parts will no longer appear as neighbor parts when browsing other part pairs.
