Setting Initial Conditions and Reference Values

This part of the tutorial involves setting the direction and magnitude of the gravity vector and the reference density for the simulation.

Start with the acceleration force in the negative y-direction.
  1. Edit the Continua > Air > Reference Values node and set the following properties:

    GravityValue[0.0, -9.81] m/s^2
    Reference DensityValue1.27588 kg/m^3
  2. Edit the Continua > Air > Initial Conditions > Static Temperature node and set Value to 293 K.
  3. Edit the Continua > Aluminum Alloy > Initial Conditions > Static Temperature node and set Value to 343 K.
    This temperature is close to the final expected temperature of the solid region.
  4. Save the simulation.
