Visualizing the Solution

This part of the heated fin tutorial involves setting up a scene for displaying scalars and vectors of the solution.

To view the temperature of the fluid and solid regions as the solution develops:

Create a scalar scene.
This scene includes both the fluid and solid regions.
Select Scalar Scene 1 > Scalar 1 > Scalar Field.
Set the Function property to Temperature.
The velocity vectors for the fluid can also be included in the scene by adding a vector displayer to the scalar scene.
Create a vector displayer: right-click on Scalar Scene 1 and select New Displayer > Vector.
Edit the Scenes > Scalar Scene 1 > Vector 1 > Parts node and select the fluid region.
Save the simulation.
