Setting Boundary Conditions
The boundary conditions for the farfield are specified so as to account for the angle of attack with which the wing faces the oncoming flow.
-
Before setting the physical conditions, create a parameter to specify an angle of
attack of 3.06° for the initial velocity:
-
Edit the
node and set the following properties:
Node Property Value Flow Direction Method Value cos(${AoA}) Value sin(${AoA}) Mach Number Value 0.8395 Static Temperature Value 300 K Turbulent Viscosity Ratio Value 0.2105 For external aerodynamic applications that use the Spalart-Allmaras turbulence model, studies have shown that a turbulent viscosity ratio of 0.2105 on the freestream boundary is recommended.
- Save the simulation.
