Saving, Closing, and Loading a Design Manager Project

The Design Manager project settings are stored in a separate file, called Design Manager project file (*.dmprj).

Objective Procedure
Saving a Design Manager project
  1. In Design Manager, select File > Save.
  2. In the Save dialog, enter the name and location where you want to save the project.
  3. Click Save.
Auto saving a Design Manager project after each design simulation completes In Design Manager, select the Design Manager project node and activate Auto Save.
NoteYou are strongly advised to activate this option. If the Design Manager project crashes for any reason, you can resume the project from the completed designs. However, be aware that auto-saving during the run can slow down the process.
Saving a copy of a Design Manager project
  1. In Design Manager, select File > Save As.
  2. In the Save dialog, enter the name and location.
  3. Click Save.
Closing a Design Manager project
  1. In Design Manager, click the X button next to the Design Manager project in the Explorer pane.
Loading a Design Manager project
  1. Launch Simcenter STAR-CCM+.
  2. Select File > Load.
  3. In the Load a File dialog, set Type to Design Manager Project.
  4. Navigate to and select the *.dmprj file of your Design Manager project.
  5. Click OK.
Alternatively, you can drag and drop a Design Manager project icon onto the user interface.
NoteThe Design Manager project will not load if the icon is dropped onto an existing object tree.
